CS API X42 5L PSL 2 Pipes are strong pipes that can be seamless or welded. They are used to transport oil, gas and fluids under high pressure. Made according to the API 5L standard, these pipes have better mechanical properties and toughness than PSL 1. The API X42 grade has a minimum yield strength of 42,000 psi (290 MPa). The pipe material includes 0.24% Carbon (C), 1.40% Manganese (Mn), 0.45% Silicon (Si), up to 0.025% Phosphorus (P) and up to 0.015% Sulfur (S). This mixture provides good weldability, high durability, and protection from corrosion. These pipes are perfect for important pipeline projects that need better performance and strict quality checks.
